Stew,
I miss Sunday Night Blues, and want to thank you for introducing me to some good bands I otherwise wouldn't have known about. Our 7-year-old boy especially loves to rock out to Joe Bonamassa.

Hey Beef...
Congratulations on such a long run with the Sun. night Blues show. I was hoping XM would fill the gap but their programming is all over the place. I could always count on your show for the modern scorching guitar style of blues that I love. I wish you all the best in your forthcoming endeavors. Hope to meet you at the Berlin Festival. Longtime listener,
Paul D.
Again, all my best to you and Good luck...

Hi Stew,
Good hearing from you. Sounds like things are going well. I'm sure you will eventually adjust to the new life style. I used to say "If the weekend has to end there's no better way than to be listening to SNB."
Now it just ends. I guess we all have to adapt to changes. Really enjoyed your show and can't wait for the Berlin Blues Festival. Had a really good time last year.
See you then,
Paul

Hello!
It's always a pleasure to either hear you on the air, or just hear from you, Stew! I will be sure to think about you on Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday evening, after I do some backyard gardening, and having a couple of celebratory beers!!! I tried to phone in the night of your last Sunday Night Blues broadcast to wish you well in your present and future endeavors, but wasn't able to reach you... Thanks so much for the friendship, the music, and especially for the "JIMI HENDRIX, RED HOUSE" request(s)... I'll always remember the encore broadcast of my request you played on Mother's Day 2003... I was so surprised and so excited, you really cheered me up that day!!! You're one heck of a guy, a gentleman, and a scholar!!!
Love ya Beef Stew!

Hey Beef,
Good to hear from you. Sundays just don't seem the way they used to.
I want to say thanks for the free tix to Robert Cray Band show. Your last
pair. It was my first time to see him after all these years. Maybe you can do a special guest thing every once in a while.
Greg a.k.a. G-Spot
March 19, 2008
I still really miss your show on Sundays, however I am happy that you are moving along in your life in a direction you prefer. My boyfriend mentioned that you will send out occasional emails to keep us up to date on your activities as well as some blues events. Can you please add me to the list? It won't be the same as hearing you on Sundays, but at least you won't be completely gone!
Thanks a lot and take care,
Eva
March 19, 2008
Sorry you're no longer on the case but keep those cards and letters comin'. I'm still gonna send you the new Scissormen disc later this year. Just mastered it. Would also suggest you check out www.livebluesworld.com if you haven't yet. Think you'll like it. It's a good active community. Scissormen just got into Bonnaroo, which is a big deal for us - especially with a potential crossover album coming.

What's up Beef Stew. It's sure not the same on Sunday night. We lost you and Jeff Healey in the same month. Anyway life goes on, stay in touch and I hope to see you at the Berlin blues festival or maybe at Toads.

What happen to Stew's blues sunday night? As a blues guitar player, I had my strat tuned and ready by 6:00 going thru my PA. Your choices of music was what I love. Stew's blues step me up as a guitar player huge. I'm dying.

Hey Stew,
The best to you in your new endeavors. WE had a great ride together. I stop into the Brass Key once in awhile and it is amazing that there is so much of the place that has been there for 50 years -- all the stainless steel and the old soda system. Great memories growing up. Stay well my friend.

Well Stew,
I am experiencing extreme withdrawal from SNB. I wrote down the Nascar winners to send you, but I figure that now you've got time to watch for yourself. I played myself some music including but not limited to; Sugar Ray & the Bluetones, Candye Kane, Radio Kings, Sean Costello, Sue Foley, Jimmie Vaughan, Deborah Coleman, Johnny Winter, Robben Ford, Luther Guitar Jr. Friday I saw The Brian Templeton Blues Band featuring Kid Bangham! It was Awesome! Saturday I saw Debbie Davies. Sunday the show didn't come on. I guess that I can surmise my feelings by saying that I love to hate you. If that makes any sense.
Thanks Man,

Stew,
Just heard the news. I'm the odd one out of my peers; I'm 21 and only listen to WCCC 6 hours a week... your 6. Your the only DJ (& Beth) who ever picks up the studio phone. Thanks for my 7+ years of weekly entertainment of damn fine electric blues! Good luck in future endeavors!
Thanks Again Beef!

Mr. Beef Stew,
Being a long time fan of yours, I am heartbroken to see you leave, but completely respect your decision. You gave my friends and myself something to look foreword too every Sunday night this past summer and many others. We would always throw a Sunday Night Blues bonfire, call you up, and you would always put us on the air, making us feel like we were a part of everything; like one big family. Blues was a genre that I've always enjoyed and found a great interest in, but being in CT and being under 21 it's hard for me to experience it - until Sunday night rolled around every week. I don't know what WCCC will do without you, or better yet what I am going to do without you, but all I know is you were a very important part to what's left of radio and blues itself. In the fall I will be transferring from CCSU to the Hartford Conservatory for recording engineering. Recently I read that you went to that school years ago, and now I couldn't be more proud to go there myself. We will keep your memory alive, this summer we dedicate to you. Thank you for everything and take care.

Hey Stew...
Things are okay... Despite being the 'slow' season, I've still got a pretty full schedule. . . .I'll wait until it gets REALLY busy to taketime off.
Stew, you're such an inspiration to me in that you've always done it your way, with thoroughness and thoughtfulness. That's very admirable.
Many times, I get so wrapped up in the whirlwind, I rarely have a chance to step back, enjoy the moment & breathe. Thanks for being part of my radio family, too. It's great having you here.

Beef Stew's contribution to the blues in CT was more significant than any other individual in this State. Ever. No person in the State of CT has ever been more envolved in organization, marketing, promotion, creativity, fundraising and general support of the blues. The International Blues Foundation 2008 KBA lifetime achivement award to Stew speaks for itself. Best time to sell a house, car, or boat is when its in top shape. Beef made his mark and left while at the top of the blues heap. Beef Stew has no equal. Nuff said.

Hey Beef,
Wow man, it took the whole hour drive home to come down from
that high. Can't thank you enough for including me and for
giving me the opportunity to jam with such great musicians
(and thanks for tipping me about my "Donald Trump hair!"-
only a real friend would do that). What a great time!! Stew
you are the best... Rock on dude and I have no doubt you will
be happy and successful in the next phase of your award winning
life.

Thank you for all the great music. I can't believe this is
your last show!!!!Great way to close it out.
Once again, I appreciate all you have done for the blues and
just plain good music. You have really helped CT blues musicians
like myself get noticed. I hope to see you at some of my shows.
I'll keep you on my mailing list. (Try to make it 3/6 at the
Hungry Tiger if you can) Best wishes in all of your endeavors.

Oh man I don't know where to begin. For the last few years,
I got together with some really good friends on Sunday nights
and we cook up some of the best meals ever, and listen to
your blues program. You can't imagine how you will be missed
in our little world. Make no mistake, I completely respect
your decision to move on. I just wish you to know that you
will be missed. I can go on, but I just want to say thank
you for all that you provided. Again you have a fantastic
show that me and my friends will miss greatly. I wish you
the best of luck, and again, thank you.
Best wishes,
Craig
P.S. maybe you can come back for the occasional cameo apperance....

Hey Beef Stew,
Really going to miss you. Our Sunday's are always planned
around your show. My husband and I always set time aside to
listen to you, whether it is sitting out on the deck relaxing
after a long week, or even working out in the yard, you make
the last day of the week a very mellow time for us.
Thank you! Sunday's will never be the same.
Best of luck to you and your family.

I just cannot imagine a Sunday without the Blues, I used to
listen to Chicago Blues festival on PBS, while in Indiana.
So, having been in Radio myself what will be able to fill
the bill in this time slot. Are you ailing, tired, or are
they forcing you out? I cannot imagine any of the three except
maybe your gonna do something new. Radio people don't just
give up Radio. It's an addiction. Good luck!!! Anyway.
P.S. leaving the country??? Make sure the station is online....

on sundays, i was also looking forward to cruising around
blasting sunday night blues since ill be able to drive next
week, but i guess ill have to settle for cds rather than radio.
i love the show and music man, have a good one, and maybe
ill see you at the berlin blues fest, never gone before but
i plan on it this year because of the music you play.

Stew,
Thanks so much! Glad to hear at least you're still with the
company. In fact I'm an ex-WCCC employee from the days we
still played vinyl. I worked there for one year back in '83
when Sy Dresner owned the station. Bill Nosal was the PD,
Mike Adams did mornings and for awhile we had the late great
Stoneman 7-midnight. Wow the station has changed, I saw Rich's
pictures when Jeff was there. Now it looks like a real station!
Where's the turntables?!
Thanks again Stew, maybe I'll see you around town.

your weekly blues broadcast will be next week. As mush as
I wish you well, I can tell you my Sunday Nights will not
